Tracking the character of Gonzalo

Agenda:

  1. We will track the role of Gonzalo in the play. Antonio and Sebastian think he is an old fool. What are we supposed to think?
    1. Write down a key line from each passage and paraphrase what we learn about Gonzalo.
    2. Write a paragraph that describes his complex relationship to the other characters in the play. How does his character contribute to the meaning of the play as a whole?
